On June 14 and 28, 2026, Tzu Chi/Taiwan coordinated with the Provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, Persons with Disabilities Support and Child Rights Protection to organize a delegation to visit 40 low-income households families across Vinh Long Province.

Home visits and information collection for low-income households in Nguyet Hoa ward and Tieu Can commune

Welcoming the delegation were Ms. Tran Ngoc Trang, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, Persons with Disabilities Support and Child Rights Protection, and Ms. Phan Thi Kieu, an officer from the association, alongside representatives from local authorities at the communes and wards. Representing the Tzu Chi Foundation were 26 of local volunteers.

Over the two working days, the delegation directly visited to gather details on each household’s family circumstances, living conditions, health status, medical examination and treatment costs, travel expenses, and other practical hardships faced by residents in the communes and wards of Tra Vinh, Long Duc, Hoa Thuan, Nguyet Hoa, Tieu Can, Hung Hoa, Tap Ngai, Song Loc, and Tap Son.

Based on the recorded information, the Tzu Chi Foundation will review and assess the severity of each household’s difficulties to develop appropriate, practical, and effective support plans. This survey activity is a critical preparatory step to identify beneficiaries for the upcoming implementation of the “Social Humanitarian Work in Vinh Long Province” project.

Through this activity, Tzu Chi Foundation aims to help low-income households stabilize their lives, ease their financial burdens, and create additional motivation for them to improve their circumstances moving forward.
